Mari Henderson joined LawNewz to discuss the latest criminal trials making headlines. First up, Mari discusses the trial of Luis Toledo, a man convicted of killing his wife and two children. The jury will next decide whether to sentence him to death or life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Mari also discussed the murder of Christa Worthington, a mother found stabbed to death in Cape Cod in 2002 -- her two-year-old daughter was found alive and clinging to her mother's body. A local trash collector was convicted in that case in 2006, but ABC is revisiting the conviction in a six-part podcast and 20/20 special.
Mari also discusses the case of Adam Matos, a man charged with killing his ex-girlfriend along with her new boyfriend and her parents. Jury selection is still underway in the Matos case. Witnesses in the case include a pizza deliveryman who says Matos delivered pizza to the crime scene using one of the victim's credit cards and a woman who bought a dog from the defendant through Craigslist -- a dog bred by the victims. This witness reports a foul odor coming from the home.
